...Our studio has ALWAYS had a fairly large class for beginners, but our RETENTION was not there. We would lose about 75% of our students from beginner to Intermediate. Honestly I personally feel that with our BBS system, your retention will be what keeps your income going and set you up for privates! Our privates have went up DRAMATICALLY were we would get maybe 1 private every 2 months to now privates (2 and 3) daily. Thats because they want to catch up to their belt level because of missed classes. Keep in mind that Edie has a DBM course that will address how to make money with your studio. We have been in operation now with Baile Con Sazon since 2009. When we took the DBM (Dance Business Management) course earlier this year, it addressed issues that we have had in the past and current issues that were on going! We never had issues with getting students and advertising but issues like: How to deal with maverick students, rival studios, how to create multiple streams for income...from instructor contracts to running your dance team..it covers! So to answer your question, the BBS will teach you:
a. How to dance
b. How to teach people to teach how to dance
The DBM will teach you "Dance Business"!

The White Belt Course was "Excellent" because I am a visual learner and learn best from diagrams. Edie uses concrete examples that help students understand.
